REMINDER
The SCLGA Delegates Meeting being held on Monday at Brighton & Hove GC. Lady Captains, Club Delegates and Junior Organisers from all affiliated clubs in Sussex are invited to have representatives at this annual meeting. Details below from original notification.
At this year’s Delegates meeting we will be presenting an update on how the proposal to unify Sussex County Ladies Golf Association with Sussex County Golf Union is progressing. Over the last few months, we have been holding a number of meetings with our counterparts to ascertain how Unification will look and determine what needs to be done. We are now in a position to ask you for your agreement to proceed. It is important to understand what Unification means and thus we have prepared a detailed presentation for
you. This together with the latest list of FAQ’s is attached or available for you to read on our website at Unification
In addition, we also presented a copy of these slides at two zoom meetings to members and club managers. This was recorded and a copy is also available on the website to listen to.
At the meeting we will not be running through the entire presentation but will summarise where we are and will be happy to answer any questions. We will be taking a vote on this matter at the meeting. Each club is entitled to have one vote and we would ask you to nominate a representative from your club to vote on behalf of your Lady members. This will usually be the Lady Captain or Club representative. Later in the year, once we are in a position to merge the two organisations, we will hold a final vote with all Sussex Clubs.
Please be ready and prepared to vote on behalf of your club at the meeting.
