We held the annual Glenda Ricketts Memorial Salver at the Nevill last Sunday 5th October. The event began in 2008 and is held every year in memory of Glenda Ricketts who died of
breast cancer in her term of office as County Captain in 2007.
The event was well supported with 80 competitors from 22 different clubs across the county. As is the tradition all players wore pink and we had some wonderful outfits! The weather
was very kind with a bright sunny autumnal day and the course in excellent condition which provided some strong Greensomes Stableford scores.
Congratulations to the winners - results were as follows (pictured left to right):

Other winners included:
Best Front 9 : Junko Wates & Carol Hall (22 points)
Best Back 9 : Mary Scott & Rachel Sellence (20 points)

The golf was followed by a delicious cream tea at which Glenda Rickett’s grandchildren, Sam and Tabby, said a few words and presented the prizes. In addition to the golf we also held a raffle and a silent auction of golf club vouchers. Our thanks go to the Nevill golf club for their generosity in hosting the event and to Glenda’s family and to all the players and clubs across the county for supporting the event.
We are finalising the final amount of the donation to the Breast Cancer Now charity and will update you shortly! It will be updated in this news report next week.
Next years date is Sunday 4th October - Save The Date.
