Presidents Team Trophy : Report & Results

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome 39 teams of 3 for the rearrange Presidents Team Trophy at Hill Barn Golf Club.  The competition was based on the best 2 stableford scores for each team, playing off 85% of course handicap.

The weather was a vast improvement from the original date of 3rd September, whilst it started cold and rainy, it warmed up as the day progressed with sunshine all afternoon.  The competitors enjoyed the views and excellent condition of the course, but many found the greens tricky.

Congratulations to the winners:

• 1st place: Kelly Hughes, Donna Prangnell & Helen Silver (Worthing) with 88 points (pictured left)
• 2nd place: Dawn Glastonbury, Gina Godley & Christine Gunn, (Pyecombe) with 77 points (pictured right)
• 3rd place: Sharon Oshea, Louisa Rydon & Karen Lewis (Cuckfield) with 76 points

Kay Martin, Lady Captain, and her team of volunteers ran a very successful raffle in aid of St Barnabas House hospice, raising £440.

Our thanks go to Ashley Turner, General Manager, and his team for their hard work in making the day such a success and to Kay for her support on the day.  Thanks also to the delicious meals prepared by the catering staff.  On the course, we thank our two starters and four referees for making sure everything went smoothly on the day.
