A welcome break for lunch and all was ready for the final battle, Cottesmore v West Hove. The match set off shortly after 2:00pm but rain was beginning to set in and conditions became unplayable with the committee of the day deciding to abandon play.
Many thanks to Chris at Crowborough for finding space on the course the following afternoon to allow a second attempt. Despite some heavy showers overnight and into the early morning, the course had drained and the final set off again at 2:00pm.
The final was a close contest in tricky playing conditions. The first match to finish went to Cottesmore, the next to West Hove. The final match concluded on the 18th green with a win for Cottesmore who claimed the winners trophy. Well played to both teams.
