Morrice Foursomes Semi Finals & Final: Match Report

Today saw the conclusion of the Morrice Foursomes Knockout which commenced in April with a total of 41 clubs participating. The course at Willingdon was in excellent condition, having benefited from some rain recently. With green fairways and fast greens as well as plenty of hills, the course proved quite a challenge. We were again blessed with a bright sunny day, with a strong chilly wind getting up in the afternoon. The matches were strongly contested with many going to the 18th.

The morning started with the semi finals which comprised Royal Eastbourne vs Brighton & Hove and West Sussex vs Chichester. Royal Eastbourne and West Sussex secured their wins and progressed to the final after a short break and lunch. Semi Finalists Brighton & Hove (left), Chichester (right)

The afternoon saw Royal Eastbourne claim victory and means they retain the title for a second year in a row. Congratulations Royal Eastbourne and well done to all teams for having made it through to the semi's and final. Pictured: Winners Royal Eastbourne and Runners Up West Sussex.

Our sincere thanks to Jayne Wilding and her team at Willingdon Golf Club for their excellent, calm efficiency that helped the day run so smoothly.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next year for the 2026 competition!
