RAF Team representing Sussex at England Golf Women's Champion Club Competition

The weekend saw Royal Ashdown Forest (RAF) represent Sussex at the England Golf Women's Champion Club Competition. (Winners of the 2024 SCLGA Division 1 Inter Club Championship).  The competition was held at City of Newcastle Golf Club and was held as a 36 hole competition of scratch stroke play.

The ladies representing Sussex and RAF are (pictured right with a former RAF member who now lives near the venue and went along to support):

• Katherine Russell
• Tracey Poulsom
• Rosie Hockey

We're proud to report that they came joint 7th overall (out of 25 teams from across the country). Feedback from the team, "It certainly was quite an event with some amazing (young) golfers who were a delight to play with and see that golf is well and truly in good hands. I think we were all pretty chuffed to have scored so well and it was a great team effort with us all contributing over the two days"
