2025 Inter-Club Championship Division Finals: MATCH REPORT

Today the Inter Club Championship for 2025 for Division 1,2,3 was held at Cowdray Park GC and for Martlets at Crowborough Beacon.

Many thanks to the Cowdray Park ladies for their help especially those who helped as course marshals.  It was a great venue for our finals day. A massive thank you must go to Crowborough Beaon for accommodating the final of the Martlets with only 6 days notice.

Well done to all the clubs who took part. The winners of Division 1, Worthing will go forward to represent Sussex at the England Womens Champion Club competition next year.

Division 1
Winners: Worthing
Runners Up: Crowborough Beacon

Division 2
Winners: Mid Sussex
Runners Up: Chartham Park
. 

Division 3
Winners: Cuckfield 
Runners Up: Golf at Goodwood

The day was progressing well until thunder and lightning struck again while the Division 3 matches were in progress.  Play was suspended with the score at 2 games to Cuckfield and 1 to Golf at Goodwood.  Luckily play was resumed and Cuckfield were the winners.  This is their third win in four years as Division 3 champions.

The final of the Martlets Division was played at Crowborough Beacon to ensure a neutral course for the 2 teams competing. The weather was reasonably kind with the storm thankfully passing us by.
