Ladies London Foursomes

Burnham Beeches 24th - 26th March 2023

Dear Players, Club Managers,

Due to the heavy rainfall and ground conditions at Burnham Beeches, the Club has taken the decision on health and safety grounds to implement a blanket trolley and buggy ban.

Unfortunately, this ban does also cover those players with a medical certificate. The safety of the players is paramount, the recent heavy rains and ground conditions have made certain areas very treacherous and the Ladies London Foursomes Committee fully support Burnham Beeches in their decision.  Players or their caddies must therefore carry throughout the tournament.

If a player or their caddie is unable to carry and so is therefore unable to represent their Club, a replacement will be acceptable, regardless of the aggregate handicap limit (19.5). Please advise Denise Fiori at denise.fiori@icloud.com of any such player(s) changes.

Should a Club decide to withdraw completely because of this trolley ban, please inform Sue McKeon at suemckeon@hotmail.co.uk by midday Thursday 23rd at the latest.

With more rain forecast, a decision may still be made by Burnham Beeches to close the course on Friday.  A course inspection will take place on Friday morning and the course status update will be posted on the Burnham Beeches website by 6.30am on Friday morning.  The course status update can be viewed on the home page of the Burnham Beeches website and we would ask all players to check the website BEFORE traveling to the club. Thank you for your understanding.

Sue McKeon
