The Tournament is a Scratch Foursomes match play competition open to all clubs within a 55-mile radius of central London

and each club may nominate one pair. 

Regulations

Entries will be limited to 64 pairs.  No substitutes will be allowed after commencement of play.

The 2019 finalists will be seeded.  Clubs with the lowest combined Handicap Indexes will fill the remaining places.  All competitors must have a WHS Handicap Index.  Any entry ballot will be based on combined H.I. at the closing date for entries.

Details of the draw and combined handicap limit will be emailed to successful clubs.  Thereafter, should a club included in the competition change its nominated players, their combined handicap must fall within this limit.  If not, the place will be filled by the club with the lowest combined handicap players on the waiting list.  The combined limit is unlikely to exceed 24.0.  Clubs on the waiting list will be advised and must be prepared to play at short notice. 

The Committee reserves the right to arrange and/or alter starting times and to change the Regulations and Terms of Competition. 

The decision of the Committee is final in all matters.

Terms of Competition

The matches shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf and such Local Rules as shall be approved by the Committee.

Players must walk at all times unless permitted to ride by the Committee.

Each player is responsible for playing without undue delay. 

The Pace of Play condition will be available prior to play.

Juniors may play but are the responsibility of their Clubs.

Competitors may not engage a professional or assistant professional as a caddie.

Entry Fee

An entry fee of £85.00 must accompany all Entry Forms (no catering included). 

If unsuccessful in the draw, cheques will be destroyed unless otherwise advised.

At the discretion of the Committee, refunds may be given to clubs withdrawing after the draw is published if their places are filled in the draw. 

Prizes

The winning Club will hold the Trophy for a year. 

Vouchers will be presented to the winners, runners-up and losing semi-finalists.

and on County websites.  It will be emailed to participating clubs.
