SCLGA Seniors Waltz: Results & Report

Yesterday we welcomed twenty teams of three players who took part in the SCLGA Senior Waltz at Mid Sussex GC (18 Sussex clubs were represented). Weather was mixed and whilst the rain threatened on a couple of occasions, it managed to hold off until most players were back in the club house.

• 1st place: Diane Crichton, Jan Smith and Alison Wilde of Royal Eastbourne, 78 points.

• 2nd place: Jane Jones, Mandy Tyler and Sue Jones of the Dyke on count back with 72 points
• 3rd place: Nicole Collingwood, Lindsey Parris & Sally Powell of Chartham Park with 72 points

Nearest the Pin Winners:

• 5th: Kate Wooller of Chartham Park
• 13th: Jan Smith of Royal Eastbourne.

Many thanks to our County President, Bali Bassan and our County Captain, Margaret Brown who acted as starters and welcomed everyone on the day. Thank you also to Anji Suchak of Mid Sussex who was able to step in at the last minute to complete a team of three who had one player drop out this morning due to injury.

Finally, thank you to everyone at Mid Sussex who made us very welcome and to the Lady Captain, Catherine Hinchclilffe who managed to raise £350 in the raffle for her charity Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
