County Match Week: Day Two Report

CMW Day Two Report, Tuesday 24th June 2025

The 2nd day of CMW started with some light rain but thankfully by the time we arrived at the Club the rain had subsided. Our match today was against a strong Kent side who fielded mainly scratch players. First off were Chloe & Heather followed by Aileen & Amelia. The singles matches were Katie, Maddy and Darci.

Once again matches were up and down but the Kent players got the better of us and we unfortunately came 2nd with a final result of 4 - 1. A special mention must go to Aileen and Amelia who gelled very well and brought home the win for Sussex at the 16th hole. Maddy fought back from being 5 down to only 1 down but lost on 17th.

Whilst the scores this week have shown losses each day for Sussex this in no way reflects the standard of play that our girls have put in and the team spirit is second to none. It has been a real pleasure to watch the standard of play by everyone in Sussex and the future of golf does look good.
