Kathleen Rider Foursomes: Results & Report

We welcomed 168 players from 42 Sussex Clubs to the Kathleen Rider Foursomes Inter Club Competition at Mannings Heath on Thursday 12 June. Luckily the forecasted thunderstorms only manifested as one shower and the players enjoyed the beautiful course mostly in sunshine. 

Results

• The winners with 73 points were Royal Eastbourne Golf Club, represented by Alyson Brice & Natasha Parris, Claire Patterson-Snell & Teresa Ward. (pictured left)
• Close behind with 72 points were Ashdown Golfers represented by Jacky Chisholm & Karen Bailey, Jane Hutchinson & Julia Sutherland. (pictured right)
• 3rd with 70 points were Sedlescombe Golf Club represented by Karen Cunnington & Sophie Hanson, Lindy Montandon & Jenny Naylor.

Our thanks go to all the staff and members at Mannings Heath who helped to make the day so successful and enjoyable, including feeding so many people at different times of the day. Beautiful flower arrangements were done by Mina Burton from Mannings Heath and much admired by all.  Thanks also to the team of 3 referees, Jo Maddams, Chris Handson & Kathy Morris for helping the players with any issues or uncertainties out on the course.
