County Championship 2025: Day 2

Day 2 of the Championship weekend is the beginning of the knockout rounds. We had some fabulous first round matches – Amelia McGinty had a hole in one on the 8th and went on to win her match. Two matches went to the 20th hole, Chloe Briance v Maisie Hassall, and Georgia Young v Heather Tidy with Heather winning her match on the 20th with an eagle.

The winners of the morning knockouts commenced the quarter finals after a lunch break playing for the Championship Trophy, those not so fortunate played
on for the Championship Plate. The afternoon matches were as exciting as the morning. We saw two quarter finals of the Championship Plate going to the 19th hole, then Heather Tidy and Katie Field playing in the Championship took their quarter final match to the 22nd hole. Unfortunately for Heather this time it was the turn of her opposition to win through.

Playing in the Plate semi-finals tomorrow are:

• Olivia Corbin v Maisie Hassall
• Paula Carver v Holly Crompton.

The Championship semi-finalists are:

• Darci Lewis-Bradbury v Katherine Russell
• Katie Field v Amelia McGinty
