SCLGA Finance Director

The current SCLGA Finance Director, Alison Hopson, comes to the end of her term in October 2024. 

This is an opportunity to join the SCLGA Board as Finance Director. You will have a Finance Assistant who will be responsible for most day to day operational tasks. You will have overall responsibility for the finances, and in doing so will:

  • Set an annual budget
  • Provide financial updates at Board Meetings
  • Review spending v’s budget
  • Liaise with the accountant for year end reporting
  • Manage bank account signatories
  • Make joint decisions with the board on all financial matters
  • Working with all Board and Competitions committee to ensure financials are kept where possible within budget

This role is for a three year term of office with an optional two year extension.

SCLGA Competitions Committee Secretary Vacancy

The current SCLGA Competitions Committee Secretary, Carolyn Tanner, comes to the end of her term in November 2024. We are seeking a replacement who could start to shadow Carolyn early summer, with a view to taking on the full role in November.

This is an opportunity to join the SCLGA Competitions Committee. You will be responsible for supporting the SCLGA Competitions Director and Competition Committee activities including:

  • Agenda, minutes and action tracking for SCLGA Competition Committee meetings (6 annually).
  • Preparing and managing information including Calendar of Events, Club contacts, Competition rules
  • Liaise with Sussex clubs re competition information, respond to queries
  • Annual process of collecting Club Competition Entries, Draws, Team Captain contact details
  • Support and assist Competition Organisers
  • Work closely with the SCLGA Communications Director to maintain accurate information on the SCLGA website

This role is for a three year term of office with an optional two year extension.
