The 2nd Coaching Clinic of the year was held at Mid Sussex Golf Club with resident Pro, Lee Andrews on a rather cold Autumnal morning which progressed to a bright sunny afternoon for the golf.

The teaching session covered all aspects of the short game when groups of 3 participants learnt the skills for pitching vs chipping, fairway and greenside bunker shots as well pitching over the bunker and some putting drills.

In a very interactive session, Lee worked with each group demonstrating and encouraging everyone to observe the key points for each exercise. It was unanimously agreed that the downhill short chip (which proved particularly difficult to control with little green to work with) was the hardest of all, and definitely a shot for the professionals!!

The camaraderie, encouragement and enthusiasm, even with a cold breeze blowing, was to be admired.  After a lovely lunch in the Clubhouse the ladies played 9 holes in sunshine.  All agreed that it was a very enjoyable format for tuition, and they valued the social and golf interaction with players of all abilities.
