Chris Handson’s final two days at Augusta, which saw (possibly) the greatest comeback in sporting history, and Woods attaining his 5th green jacket, one could say that we were all deeply envious.  However, she reports that on Day 3 after a cloudy start it got very hot.  “After walking a few holes I realised Richard was nowhere near me and I had been speaking to a very nice man from Ferndown!”  She spent time watching the players, including an out of sorts Rory, negotiate Rays Creek on the 13th, which is unbelievably beautiful.

On the final day, beginning around 6.45am in the dark, Augusta was mobbed with crowds and a mile-long queue, which moved quite swiftly to get the “patrons” onto the course.  She made her way to Amen Corner and had a grandstand seat overlooking 11th and 12th.  She watched the whole field play through, including the final group of Woods, Molinari and Finau. Needless to say, that she was disappointed to see Molinari put his ball in the water at 12 and afterwards at 15 and sink his chances of winning.

She says, “The atmosphere was amazing and the whole experience of Augusta more than perfect.  If a European had’ve won, then it would have been more perfect.”

Here is Chris co-ordinating well in sunshine yellow, we can’t fail to note the matching SCLGA shoe-bag and flowers!

It sounds like an experience of a life-time and one that will be hard to forget.
