Jane first joined the SCLGA in 1999 becoming Competition Secretary from 2000 – 2005. As County Captain 2009-11, the Sussex team won County Match Week at East Sussex National going on to represent the South Region in the National Finals in Derbyshire. The following year under Jane’s Captaincy, the county team won County Match Week in Surrey and again progressed to the National Finals. Jane plays at Ifield GC and is looking forward to wearing the “yellow” jumper of Sussex with pride again and meeting lots of old and new faces on the golf course!

Pat’s been playing golf since 2000 and her handicap is 12. She began golfing at Hassocks and moved to Cottesmore in 2005 where she became Lady Captain in 2015, following her retirement from teaching Pat moved to Dyke GC. She served on the County Committee for 5 years as Junior Organiser from 2013-2017 and really enjoyed the experience, learning about the County organisation and working with the girls. She’s very excited to become County Captain and looks forward to working with the new President and newer committee members in 2020.

Ann was County Captain 2017-2019. Her mother encouraged her to play golf in 1992 and by 1995 she was Lady Captain of Selsey. She then joined Goodwood and was Ladies’ Secretary. Having completed 6 years as SCLGA Secretary, Ann became County Captain in November 2017 for a 2 year tenure. With a handicap of 11, she is a regular Division 1 player.

Judith joined the SCLGA in 2015 and has been the Hon Secretary for the last 3 years. In this role she is responsible for all the communications with clubs as well as organising the committee meetings and the AGM. She started playing golf almost 30 years ago and has been a member of East Sussex National since 1995. She is a regular Division 1 player, currently playing off 12 but working hard to get back down to single figures.

E. Judith Dingle
Alison has been a member at Haywards Heath since 2010. She served on the ladies committee for 6 years, 4 years as Hon. Treasurer. She has 2 children, now both at University and this has given Alison more time to dedicate to playing and practicing her golf. Alison became a Div 1 player in 2018 and hopes to reduce her handicap further. She is very excited to become County Treasurer and looks forward to working with the County team and meeting new people as part of her role.

Junior Committee Organiser
Louise started playing golf in 2003 and has been an active member at Dale Hill for over 10 years, becoming Lady Captain in 2013, and often representing the club in Div 2 matches. Louise helped reinstate the Junior Section at Dale Hill, became a level 1 coaching assistant, and has now been Junior Organiser for over 2 years, building a strong community of juniors who are passionate about their golf. Louise is the County Junior Organiser and has had a terrific year with her Juniors with many reducing their handicaps to single figures and winning Junior County Match Week in August 2019.

Jacs began golfing in 1997 when her youngest son was in a pushchair! She’s been playing golf ‘seriously’ for 11 years and plays off 5. Her first club was Seaford, but joined Royal Ashdown Forest in 2009 and plays in their 1st team and the Sussex Senior squad. Jacs is responsible for the SCLGA comms through it’s website and social media sites (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).

Sussex Ladies' Voting Member for England Golf
Sue represents Sussex at national level with England Golf. She took up golf over 20 years ago to join husband Ray, an avid golfer who is Treasurer of the Sussex County Golf Union and actively involved in a variety of roles within England Golf. Although she’s not managed to get her handicap below 30, Sue says she’s still just as keen and very enthusiastic to be involved in “social golf”!

Caroline was encouraged to play golf by her father, but other sports and a career as a P.E. Teacher got in the way. Moving to Sussex she joined Chichester in 1994 not long after it opened. Since then she has been Competition Secretary, Handicap Secretary and Lady Captain twice. Playing off 13 she is a member of the Chichester Div 1 squad. She has been on the county committee for three years having been Division 3 Secretary for the last two years, and now responsible for organising all the County competitions for 2020.

Bali’s sister convinced her to take up golf in her 40’s overruling plans to wait until retirement! Starting at East Brighton, she then joined Dyke GC in 2003, and since retiring she’s playing much more. On the ladies’ committee from 2012, she was Lady Captain in 2014, and has been Captain of the Div 3 team. She says she’s always trying to improve her handicap of 24! For 2020 Bali is responsible Div 1 Scratch and Handicap Teams.

Debby started playing golf 5 years ago, having previously been involved in a number of different sports, both as a participant and as an organiser. She came to golf relatively late in life but loves the challenge of playing a sport where she can still continue to improve – even in retirement!
Debby plays at Mid Sussex where she manages the Div 3 team and organises trophies and awards. She has a handicap of 22 but is hoping to get into the teens – at some point!

Jill plays golf at Singing Hills where she has been a member for over 10 years. She has captained the Morrice Foursomes team for the last three years and has deputised for the Division 1 captain when needed. Jill was Head of a PE Department and is keen to be involved in the SCLGA Committee. She is responsible for Div 3 in 2020.

Pat joined the SCLGA team in 2015. She took up golf over 25 years ago and has been hooked ever since. She served on the Nevill GC Ladies and Centenary Committees and was Lady Captain in 2015. Currently playing off 18, she plays for the club in Division 2 and continues to strive to reduce her handicap! Pat is responsible for the Inter-club Division 4 and the Glenda Ricketts Memorial Salvers Competition.

Sue has been a member of Royal Ashdown for over 10 years, and is presently ladies Captain. She has held various Committee positions in the past including Handicap Secretary and Junior Girls Organiser. Sue has completed Part 1 of the England Golf Rules exam. She plays off 15 and is a key member of the ladies team playing in Divisions 1 and 2. The year, Sue is responsible for running the Morrice Foursomes and Kathleen Rider Competitions.

Juanita has been a member at East Brighton GC for the last 10 years, serving as a Board Director for the 6 years and an active member of the Ladies Committee where she has helped organise events, lunches and dinners. Prior to retirement she spent 20 years working for a London University. She now spends one day a week cooking for Supported Housing. Juanita is looking forward to being part of the SCLGA Committee.

Emilie started playing golf in 1985 when she and her husband moved to Nigeria and their two daughters had gone to boarding school in UK. After further postings overseas they returned to the UK 20 years ago. Emilie has been a member at West Sussex since 2008 where she has captained the Div 3 team four times and served on the Club Committee. She was Lady Captain whilst in Nigeria and at West Chiltington in 2003. She loves playing golf and would like to improve her handicap of 24.
