imageThe Junior Spring meeting was played at Dale Hill on Monday, and was well supported with 18 girls playing in the second week of their Easter holidays. In chilly and windy conditions they kept up a good pace of play on the testing and challenging Old Course.

Despite the tricky conditions there were some excellent scores with Rebecca Losh, Gudrun Nolan and Chloe Burdon all securing handicap reductions. Well played girls. The winners are detailed below.

It is traditional at the Spring Meeting for the outgoing Junior Captain to receive a memento of her Captaincy and congratulations and thanks were given to Lizzie Price for a very good year under her leadership. Fenella Buss of East Brighton was announced as this year’s Junior Captain and she received her badge of office from Lizzie. In her speech, Fenella stated her aim was to be a Junior Captain for all girls, regardless of their ability and to see the County squads progress.

Many thanks to the Junior Committee for attending, especially Debbie Burdon and Kim Hansell for their organisation and imaginative prize table. Thank you to Sandra Holman, our County Captain, for presenting the prizes and to Dale Hill for hosting the event.
