Hopefully this wet winter weather will be on its way soon, and the lowland courses of Sussex will start to dry out and flourish with some Spring sunshine. Our first Division matches have already been played which means our 2016 season is off and running.
For those of you suffering when it’s wet, it always worth bearing in mind in future that March might not be a good month for your home fixtures! Team Captains have all been advised:
- If your course is open and fit for competition, your matches can be played on the course of the day (which may include temporary greens and tees) but it must be over 18 holes and played from the 1st hole. Bucket holes are NOT allowed.
- If there is the possibility that your course may be carry only, we suggest you organise a reserve date with your opponents.
- Out of courtesy, please let the away team know of any restrictions that may affect them (eg requirement for winter wheels, no buggies).
If there are any queries around matches or whether a match might need to be rescheduled, Team Captains should contact their Division Secretaries, click here for contact information.
