Gilly club news hole in oneSome folks wait all their golfing lives for a hole in one, but Gilly Ewers of Littlehampton had her fourth on Thursday in their Medal Flag Competition. It was the 145 yard 3rd hole, and she apparently hit her trusty rescue club well right due to the strong easterly wind, it bounced onto the green and it stopped right next by the hole touching the flag stick. As Gilly and her playing partners, Judy Gardiner and Elaine Lambert, walked towards the hole to see just how close it was, the wind rattled the flag and it dropped in right in front of their very eyes!

Littlehampton GC kindly put a tab behind the bar for the ladies section to celebrate with Gilly (who also moonlights in her spare time as the new SCLGA Division 1 Secretary).
