nat finals 2015 group wallDay 2 at County Finals.  Sussex played Lancashire and fought hard all the way; but it was not our day.  We knew that Lancashire were a strong county team and could boast several ‘England’ players, we went out on the course with it all to play for and lots of enthusiasm.

The morning foursomes was closely contested, with one match going to the 18th.  Sadly Sussex went into lunch three matches down with a lot to do in the afternoon singles.  Our County Champion, Chelsea Masters, lead the team out once again.  She played 1 under par and had 3 birdies; but her opponent Sophie Lamb played 7 under with 8 birdies.  What do we have to do to win?!

The weather and the loss hasn’t dampened the team spirit as you can see from the photos.  The team will come out fighting tomorrow, playing the shortened format because of the forecasted HORRENDOUS weather forecast.
