The sun Sue Toddwas shining, a lovely breeze, what a day to be playing golf against the current holders Kent.

We put out some tried and tested pairings for the foursomes, but unfortunately Kent proved too strong on the day, so we’re 3-0 down at lunch.

The afternoon singles saw some stunning golf and nail biting matches.  Our two youngsters Jelina and Amber had fantastic 5&4 wins over very experienced county players.  Chelsea and Paula both secured hard earned halves, having been down most of the way in their matches, a half is always a great result to walk off with.

Shot of the day came from Katherine, who fought hard to come back with a bunker shot hit dead and conceded on the 17th, closing out the match for the win on the 18th.  Great shot under real pressure!

It was a fantastically hard fought match, nails bitten to the quick, but winning the singles 4-2 was not enough to recover from the morning foursomes, so unfortunately we were narrowly pipped at the post 5-4.
