Seniors and Veterans

Chris Handson, President SCLGA

The 2017 golfing season is now well and truly over and I’ve had a wonderful year meeting so many of you at county events, division finals and club matches.  It’s been a very successful year for our Seniors in the League and the 2nd Team Matches where under the stewardship of Jo Galway and Tessa Stockwell, we’ve retained both the Mulligan Larsen Bowl and the Stovold Trophy for the third year in a row. Congratulations to all the players who have participated in these games and kept Sussex on the map.

The Seniors and League Matches are organised to take place from June onwards in 2018, and details will be available on this website in the New Year.

I wish you all a good break over the winter months, and hope that all our golf courses stay open and that you can continue to golf whatever the weather!

Chris Handson

Winners of the Mulligan Larsen Bowl 2017

Now in its third year, Sussex Seniors have won the Seniors League and retained the Mulligan Larsen Bowl for the third year in a row!  Congratulations to Team Captain Jo Galway and her players who have played this year.  It’s a team of six playing scratch match play, and the League has now grown to five counties, we played against Surrey, Kent, Middlesex and Essex.

We won by one point from Kent, which all hung on their last match so the Sussex squad were all watching with baited breath!  Click for full results Seniors League Results 2016
