Unfortunately fog delayed the start of the first round of the Scratch Foursomes today at the Dyke GC but the competition got underway once it had cleared. It was a real day of April sun and showers, and unfortunately the weather deteriorated once the five matches were underway. With strong winds and driving rain which sometimes turned into hail, it was not the Spring-like conditions of last week that we’d hoped for. Well played to everyone who battled round in such horrendous conditions.
Pictured left, the Ifield and Crowborough Beacon pairs who went down the 19th hole to finish their match in sunshine!
Good luck to everyone playing tomorrow, some sunshine forecast for the morning, but sadly more strong winds and afternoon rain.
