The weather forecast suggested some challenging conditions for players and supporters, and everyone came well prepared! Heavy rain and flooding in the morning didn’t bode well, but fortunately the Dyke greens drained really well and the thunder and mists stayed away. The players did get rather wet, but thankfully play wasn’t interrupted and some great golf was played. Some folks were even seen gently steaming when the sun came out on the back 9!
There were lots of really close matches, including the Royal Ashdown Forest deciding match against Dale Hill going to the 22nd hole – a VERY long walk back to the clubhouse!
Well done everybody, congratulations to the winners. Good luck for the semi finals which are being played at Littlehampton on the 21st September.
