EG Awards 2016The search is on to find golf’s unsung heroes who give up their time to inspire others to take up and enjoy golf.
England Golf is seeking nominations for its annual awards, which will recognise, celebrate and reward individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to ‘raise our game’ and build a bright future for the sport.  The winners will be those who contribute within golf clubs, schools, county golf partnerships, training schemes, national companies or many other programmes.
To nominate your hero – you must act quickly, the closing date is

The categories are:

Young Volunteer Of The Year
Recognising a young individual, aged 25 or under, who has shown outstanding dedication and contribution to the game within golf clubs, schools, counties, training schemes or other programmes developing golf.
Volunteer Of The Year
Recognising an individual who has shown outstanding dedication and contribution to the game within golf clubs, schools, counties, training schemes or any other programmes developing golf.
Lifetime Service Award
Recognising an individual who has contributed to the game over a sustained period of time with outstanding achievement and success.
Talent Pathway Award
Recognising a group or individual whose outstanding contribution has supported talented young players by developing and strengthening the links between the club and the county talent pathway.
Participation Award
Recognising a group or individual whose outstanding contribution has increased the number of regular golfers.
Membership Award
Recognising a group or individual whose outstanding contribution has recruited and retained club members.
Innovation Award
Recognising a group or individual whose outstanding contribution is helping to change the image of golf, improve communication in the sport and/or developing partnerships with other organisations.
The awards will be presented at a national conference in April 2016.
