Development Overview

SCLGA Development

We have 58 affiliated clubs with nearly 3,800 playing members in Sussex. Our role is wide ranging, including to:

  • Promote and encourage play at all levels
  • Identify and nurture talent
  • Develop our elite golfers and select teams to represent the county

We have an extensive Development Programme which invests in improving the standard of golf for players of all ages and skills levels. We have a comprehensive range of sessions for adults and juniors with our team of county coaches.

Development for Juniors

There is a development pathway for our juniors as part of the Junior Sussex Academy working in conjunction with the Sussex County Golf Union.  We have development planned for all ranges and abilities, so if you know any girls who would benefit, please contact Pat Johns our County Junior Organiser here: sclgajuniororganiser@gmail.com or 07833 510712.

  2. Development Squad – for handicaps 16-30
