We all know that the Queen has a number of days on which her birthday is celebrated, but it looks like there will be many more for her 90th this year! The ladies of Haywards Heath held a Tees and Tiara event to celebrate her big birthday in style.
The format of the competition was a fun team event, with everybody playing their own ball, on leaving the green there was a regal playing card (Ace, King, Queen, Jack) telling them how to compile the score on that hole, eg double all scores, omit the highest etc.
After the 59 ladies took part, there was High Tea in their tea dresses and tiaras, with a glass of bubbly to toast the Queen. The clubhouse was decorated in bunting and flowers for the celebrations. It was organised by the Lady Captain Sarah Brook, pictured right with the Pro Jack who entered into the spirit of the day with his eye catching patriotic suit!
Congratulations to the winners: Olivia Charley, Christine Bullman, Megan Healey and Anne Burnett, in 2nd place Sheila Williams, Avril Plowright, Fiona Spencer and Chris Kernohan.
