Format
The 1st day is a 36 hole pre-qualifier strokeplay event open to all women golfers affiliated to a Sussex club with a handicap of 14 and below. The best 16 players then go on to contest the championship in a knockout matchplay, with the 1st round and quarter finals played on the 2nd day, and the semi finals and finals played on the final day. Players who are knocked out in the 1st round get to contest the Championship Plate, again a knockout matchplay which runs in tandem with the main event.
The Langridge Salver for senior players runs alongside the pre-qualifier, and senior players can choose whether their score counts towards the Salver, the pre qualifier, or both.
